Stevens is a research-intensive private institution that is situated in Hoboken, NJ across the river from Manhattan. Stevens Institute of Technology was established in 1870 with the main purpose to develop vocational and scientific education in the STEM fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The university is home to three schools: the Charles V. Schaefer Jr. School of Engineering & Science, the School of Business, and the School of Systems & Enterprises.
